todays picture comes from a session.

this little one really didn't want to have her picture taken. clearly.

and i know that her head was chopped off, but i was shooting from the hip to make her a little less frightened of the camera. apparently that didn't work.

no doubt we were there when it opened, and she invited her friends to break it in.

my brother and his family have been in town. i haven't seen my nephew since he was 4 months.. and he just turned 1.

these two are only 5 weeks apart.. although it sort of looks like bruiser dane might be the older. wrong.

over christmas my grandma and i talked about this table making it to my house when she moved. who knew two months later that it would have made it here because she passed away.

she got this table when she married my grandpa. every thanksgiving and christmas eve table i ever went to was on this table. i dyed easter eggs at this table, made pecan and pumpkin pies at this table, and fought over who got to sit at the yellow stool every time we sat down to this table.

this table has been a piece of my childhood, and now a piece of my grandmother that i will hopefully have forever.

emerson loves to jump. loves it.

i never ever let her do it. never. her dad always does. (don't the dads always allow the things mom doesn't).

so you can imagine her excitement when i had a photo in mind that would allow it.

i love coming home from a trip to a face like this. i sure did miss my kids.

on another note, it's bakers birthday today. sorry babe that there isn't a picture of you here. i think we only saw about 30 minutes of eachother.

i got the call this morning. just glad she was fast asleep.

i'm sure my grandpa was waiting wondering what the hell took so long.

the worlds finest woman passed away this morning.. and i was lucky she was my grandma.
